For new players to Overwatch, there is a new player experience which requires some heroes to be unlocked. This is intended for players whose accounts have never owned Overwatch.
We have received reports that some players who owned Overwatch prior to the launch of Overwatch 2 are experiencing the new player experience, requiring them to unlock some heroes they previously had access to. If you originally played Overwatch and are experiencing this issue, make sure you have completed the entire Overwatch content merge process by clicking on the Account Merge button.
