Setting Default Voice Chat Devices in Windows

If you do not have the correct default sound devices set in windows, Battle.net games and voice chat may not be able to access them. Use the steps below to ensure that your primary headset, speakers, or microphone are set up correctly.
- Press Windows+R
- Type mmsys.cpl into the run prompt, then press Enter
- Right click your speakers or headset and select Set as Default Device.
- Right click your speakers or headset and select Set as Default Communications Device.
- Click the Recording tab
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 for your microphone or headset
Note: If the options for Set as Default Device and Set as Default Communications Device are not available, you already have the correct device selected.
