Common Problems
- My WoW characters are missing
- I can't see any of my characters
If your World of Warcraft characters are missing, take the following steps before contacting us:
- Use the scroll bar on the right side of the Character Select screen to scroll down. Additional characters may be visible at the bottom.
- (Modern WoW) If there's a plus sign next to Favorites in the character list, click it to access any characters selected as favorites.
- (Modern WoW) If there's an up arrow next to Warband Character List in the bottom right corner, click it to access your full character list.
- You may have the wrong realm selected on the Character Select screen. Click Realms at the top of the screen, to pull up a list of realms and to see what realms contain your characters.
- You may be logged in to the wrong game account, game variant, or region. Assure you have the correct game account, region and game version selected:
- In the Battle.net App select the World of Warcraft account
- Above the Play button select the correct Game Version and Game Account (Note that WoW Classic characters may have migrated to Cataclysm Classic)
- The game account will display the game region in brackets behind the account name
- You are logged in to the wrong Battle.net account. Log out of the Battle.net desktop app and log back in using the correct email address.
- Check BlizzardCS on Twitter for breaking news and information on our services.
- If you've returned to World of Warcraft after a long absence, you may need to refresh your character stats. To do so:
- Click Realms at the top of the character select screen, to pull up a list of realms. Then select the realm your characters were on.
- Create a new character on that realm to refresh your character list.
- Exit the game and delete your Battle.net Cache folder.
