Common Problems

  • Just purchased D2R and I'm unable to login.
  • When I try to start a game I get an error.
  • I try logging into Diablo II: Resurrected and the authentication is failing.

If you receive the "Failed to authenticate. Please try again." error, try the following troubleshooting:

  • Check BlizzardCS on Twitter for breaking news and information on our services.
  • Ensure your console account is linked to your Battle.net account
  • If this is your first time playing, make sure your order has a Complete status in your transaction history
  • If you want to play offline, make sure to connect to the online services at least once to validate your game
