To show hidden files and folders, follow the instructions below.

 

Windows® 10

  1. Click Start.
  2. Type Show hidden files and press Enter.
  3. Select Show hidden files, folders, and drives.
  4. Click OK.

Windows® 7 and Windows® 8

  1. Click Start (Windows Key + Q in Windows 8).
  2. Click Control Panel.
    1. In category view, click Appearance and Personalization then Folder Options.
    2. In icon view, click Folder Options.
  3. Select the View tab.
  4. Select Show hidden files, folders, and drives.
  5. Click Apply, then click OK.
