Temporarily Disabling Login Items

  1. Restart the computer.
  2. If you see the login window: Hold Shift, click the Log In button, then release Shift when you see the Dock.
  3. If you don’t see the login window: Start your computer, hold down Shift when you see the progress bar in the startup window, then release Shift after your Blizzard Battle.net desktop appears.

Identifying Problematic Login Items

If you want to identify the problematic login item, follow these steps:

  1. Open System Preferences and click Users & Groups.
  2. Click your account’s name, then click Login Items.
Note: Make a list of the login items—you’ll need to remember them later.
  3. Select all items and click Delete (-).
  4. Restart your computer.
  5. Open Users & Groups again and add the login items one at a time, restarting your computer after each one, until the issue occurs again.

When you’ve found the problematic item, repeat steps 1-3 but only delete the problematic item. Contact the manufacturer for further assistance.
