Disabling Read-Only Settings

Write permission is required to update, patch, and make changes to game files and folders. Files and folders may be locked automatically when you copy them from different hard drives or computers, or when you upgrade your operating system. Follow the steps below to unlock files and folders.
- Locate the file or folder you want to unlock.
- Right-click on the file or folder and select Properties.
- Uncheck Read-Only.
- Uncheck Hidden.
- Click OK.
- If prompted, select the Apply changes to this folder, subfolders, and files radio button.
- Click OK.
- Select the file or folder and choose File > Get Info, or press Command (⌘)-I.
- In the General section, uncheck the Locked checkbox. If you don’t own the item, you may need to provide an administrator’s name and password.
