Free Character Migration in WoW Classic Era and Seasonal or Hardcore Realms
Common Problems
- I don't see the option to transfer for free from my realm.
- I can't start free transfer to move my character from Hardcore realm.
- What transfers are available in Season of Discovery?
Free Character Migration is a free service to move a character to and from select realms. Check our Character Migration Information and Restrictions article on how to start a free transfer.
Character Migrations may only be available for a limited time. Blizzard Customer Support cannot provide Free Character Transfers.
Currently, WoW Classic Era characters can be transferred for free to:

In addition to overall Character Migration Restrictions, in case of these free transfers:
- You can only transfer characters from and to the same realm type (PvP or PvE)
- You can't transfer characters from the realm that already connected to the listed realms
Hardcore Characters (dead or alive) can be transferred at any time for free from a Hardcore realm to one of the Classic Era realms:

*While other Classic Era realms are not offered to be transferred to, most of them are connected to the listed realms.
Keep in mind that you can't transfer your character to or between Hardcore realms, not with Free Migration, nor Paid Character Transfer.
